More than a room

A studio that keeps the focus on your performance.

Since 2005, Blue Sky Recording Studios has paired an expert ear with a carefully built creative environment. Every project is planned and engineered around the sound you want to make.

Meet the engineer

Meet Kevin

Founder, engineer, producer, and the ear behind Blue Sky Recording Studios.

Kevin has been recording, producing, mixing, and developing artists since 2005. With nearly two decades of studio experience, he brings more than technical skill to every session — he brings direction, patience, and the ability to help artists deliver their best performance.

Every artist is different. Some come in with a finished song ready to record. Some come in with a rough idea, a beat, or a voice note that still needs direction. Kevin meets the project where it is and helps shape the session around the sound, emotion, and goal of the record.

His approach is simple: make the artist comfortable, keep the session focused, and make sure the final record feels honest, polished, and ready to share.

Before your session

Studio policies & frequently asked questions.

A little preparation keeps the session focused and productive. Review the policies below before booking, and contact us if your project needs something different.

Ask a booking question
01How do deposits work?

A nonrefundable deposit is required to reserve your session. Your appointment is not confirmed until the deposit has been received. The deposit will be applied toward your final session balance.

02What is the cancellation and rescheduling policy?

Clients must provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a session. Cancellations or rescheduling requests made with less than 24 hours’ notice may result in the loss of the deposit. A new deposit may be required to book another session.

Clients who do not arrive and do not provide notice will forfeit their deposit.

03What happens if I arrive late?

Your session begins at the scheduled booking time. Arriving late does not extend the session. Additional time may be booked if the studio schedule allows, and the regular hourly rate will apply.

04How should I prepare for my session?

Please have your beats, instrumental files, lyrics, reference songs and other materials ready before arriving. Beats should preferably be provided as WAV files.

Clients using two-track instrumentals should bring the highest-quality version available. Clearly label all files and send them before the session whenever possible. Preparation performed during the appointment will count as studio time.

05What is the turnaround time?

Recording files may be available after the session once the balance has been paid. Mixing, mastering, detailed tuning, editing and production services require additional turnaround time.

Standard turnaround is generally three to five business days, depending on the project and current workload. Larger projects, revisions and album packages may require additional time. Rush delivery may be available for an additional fee.

06How will my files be delivered?

Completed files will normally be delivered through a downloadable link or another agreed-upon digital delivery method. Final mixes and masters will be released after the project balance has been paid in full.

Clients are responsible for downloading and backing up their files. Blue Sky Recording Studios does not guarantee permanent storage of session files, recordings or completed projects.

07Can I bring guests?

A limited number of guests may be allowed with prior approval. Please do not bring unannounced guests or large groups. Guests must respect the equipment, studio staff, artists and working environment.

The client who booked the session is responsible for the conduct of their guests. Disruptive guests may be asked to leave.

08Can guests smoke in the studio?

Smoking is not permitted inside the studio. Clients and guests may smoke outside in the designated area.

09Are mixing, mastering and vocal tuning included?

Recording time does not automatically include mixing, mastering, detailed vocal tuning, production or extensive editing unless those services are included in your package.

Light tuning may include basic Auto-Tune or Flex Pitch correction. Detailed tuning, timing correction and harmony alignment may be charged separately.

10Can I receive the raw session files or stems?

Raw files, consolidated tracks or stems must be requested in advance. Additional preparation or export fees may apply. Files associated with Chop Theory sample packs are not provided as stems.

11When is payment due?

Any remaining balance is due at the end of the session or before the final files are delivered. Final mixes, masters and other completed materials will not be released until payment has been received in full.
